There are many on-going activities in our Church,
and YOU are welcome to join us!
Worship Services - Every Sunday morning at 10:30 am from the second Sunday in September to the last Sunday in June. During the summer, we switch to Wednesday evening vesper services at the Church at 7:00 pm.
Sunday School - The children of the congregation spend the last half of the service in the lower hall of the Church with caring teachers who provide a well-organized program of education, crafts, and special projects. At the moment, the children are raising funds to support the Guide Dog program.
Choir Practice - Every Tuesday evening at the Church at 7:00 pm from the second Tuesday in September until Christmas.
4H - We are very pleased to host the local 4H group every other Friday evening. Originally a key activity for rural youth, this organization continues to be educational and entertaining for all young people today. Skills such as sewing, gardening, and volunteerism are taught and practiced in a safe and friendly environment.
UCW - The UCW ladies meet on the third Wednesday of each month. They often have special events such as games evenings, potluck dinners, or guest speakers, so give us a call to find out what's on the current agenda.
Following are the special events scheduled over the coming months:
Palm Sunday:
- On the Sunday before Easter, we celebrate Jesus' ride into Jerusalem with palm fronds.
Good Friday:
- Our service begins a little earlier than usual at 10:00 instead of 10:30 am and is a reflective time as we hear the story of the crucifixion.
Easter Sunday:
- This celebration usually starts with a hearty breakfast served immediately before worship service. The menu varies, but it's always homemade and delicious! Upon entering the sanctuary for worship, you'll notice the fragrance of dozens of white lilies, purchased in memory of friends and family, permeating the air!
Celebration of Confirmation:
- Sunday March 23rd, we will celebrate the "Confirmation of Bronson Peters, Alex Thomson and Ian Thomson and a sacrament of Holy Communion will also take place.
Celebration of Holy Baptism:
- Sunday April 13th, 10:30 a.m. The congregation will be joining in the celebration of Holy Baptism for Antwon Jeremiah Charles Leadbetter Son of Mark and Roseanne Leadbetter. Please join us for the celebration of new life for Antwon and his parents.
Celebration of Life:
- Sunday April 27th, we will celebrate the life of John Gary Kelly with a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. light refreshments will follow upon completion of the service.
Sunday School BBQ:
- On a Sunday in late May, we celebrate the graduation of our Sunday School classes by holding a BBQ in the Church yard immediately following worship service.
Memorial Sunday:
- Also called Cemetery Sunday, on the first Sunday in June we remember our friends and family no longer with us and celebrate the fellowship we have today. The service is enhanced with a guest speaker and special music.
There may be other events scheduled,
or which will be scheduled in upcoming weeks.
Give us a call to get the latest list of planned events.

We also have several annual events;
everyone is welcome…the more, the merrier!
Strawberry Supper - Mmmmm, my mouth is watering just thinking of the luscious strawberries and ice cream service on a fresh homemade biscuit, following a meal of cold cuts and salads. The date varies depending on strawberry season, but is usually a Wednesday evening in late June.
Beef BBQ - This has just recently become an annual event. The smell of beef slow-roasted in huge BBQs draws a large crowd! Served on large rolls with potatoes and vegetables, and homemade pies for dessert, we all look forward to this! Give us a call to find out the time and date for this event.
Corn Roast - Upon returning to regular Sunday morning worship services on the second Sunday in September, we enjoy a corn roast in the Churchyard immediately following the service.
Blessing of the Animals in the Wesleyan Chapel
Everyone is welcome. Bring your furry friends, extend an invitation to your neighbours and spread the word to others about this wonderful service.
Thanksgiving Sunday - The Church will be decorated with fruits and vegetables, and familiar hymns of thankfulness are the order of the day. Again, we share our bounty by bringing non-perishable food items for the local Food Bank.
Anniversary Sunday - On the second-last Sunday in October, we celebrate our history and heritage. Friends from the past gather and mingle with new friends we hope will be part of our future! A guest speaker and special music makes this very memorable!
Turkey Supper - Over 500 people enjoy roast turkey with gravy, stuffing, potatoes, turnip, green peas, cole slaw, rolls, homemade cranberry sauce and - saving the best for last - any kind of homemade pie you can imagine for dessert! This is a huge fundraiser for us on the first Wednesday in November, but always a fun evening.
Remembrance Day
We observe Remembrance Day in honour of those who have given their lives for our freedom.
