Victoria Square United Church Special Events for 2009 Birthday Sunday: Held on the second Sunday of each month. Muffin Sunday: Held on every third Sunday of each month. Palm Sunday Service: April 5th, 2009 at 10:30am - Don't forget items for the Food Bank. Good Friday Service: April 10th, 2009 at 10:30am. Easter Sunday Service: April 12th, 2009 at 10:30am. Prior to service there will be an Easter Breakfast starting at 8:45am. Sunday School: May 24th, 2009, the School ends for Summer Break. After Church a BBQ will be held. Memorial Sunday: June 7th, 2009 at 10:30am. Reverend Warren Schell will preside and there will be special music. Light lunch to follow service. Strawberry Supper: June 24th, 2009 at 4:30pm. This event will be held at the Victoria Square Community Centre just around the corner on Elgin Mills Road west of Woodbine Avenue. Sunday Services: July 5th, 2009 at 10:30am and will run through July 26th, 2009. Heritage Day: July 12th, 2009 at 10:30am. Guest Minister to be Reverend E. Fraser Lacey from Scugog Island United Church. Following the service, a bag lunch will be available for $5.00. ** Church will be closed from August 1st, 2009 until September 13th, 2009 ** Beef BBQ: Saturday August 15th, 2009 at 5:00pm and will be held on the Church grounds. Church and Sunday School: September 13th, 2009 will resume with regular services. We will have a welcome back Corn Roast following Church. Blessing of the Animals: September 27th, 2009 in the Chapel. Thanksgiving Service: October 11th, 2009 at 10:30am. Anniversary Sunday Service: October 25th, 2009 with guest Minister and special music followed by a light lunch. Annual Fall Dinner: November 4th, 2009 at the Victoria Square Community Centre just around the corner on Elgin Mills Road west of Woodbine Avenue. White Gift and Sunday School Play: December 6th, 2009 at 10:30am. Candlelight Service: December 24th, 2009 at 7:00pm. 1st Sunday After Christmas: December 27th, 2009 at 10:30am.
